There were an estimated of 1,415 injuries on amusement park rides in 2011, according to a report prepared by the National Safety Council Research and Statistical Services. Being safe while being in an amusement park is the number 1 priority.
1. Follow the Rules of the Amusement Park
Its always good to observe all of the safety rules of the amusement park. Obey the listed age, height, weight, and health restrictions for each ride you plan to get on.
2. Stay Cool and Don’t get Burned
Many people attend the amusement park on a hot summer day. The best way to protect your skin, is to put on some sunscreen before you get on any rides.
3. Buddy Up
Its always good to buddy up with a friend or two, while you’re in an amusement park. Amusement parks are huge and many get lost with a blink of an eye.
4. Dress Appropriately
It is suggested that when you are attending an amusement park that you do not wear baggy clothing. It is always good to be safe and aware of your clothing when riding on each roller coaster.
5. Stay Hydrated
Always stay hydrated when you’re in an amusement park. You may be extremely excited and may be having to much fun and may not eat or take water breaks. Staying hydrated will help you to keep focus on the events that are surrounding you.

6. Make a Plan
If you are coming to an amusement park with a group whether its your family or friends it is best to have a plan. Make a meeting point; to always meet up in case of emergencies is a great way to keep the group all safe.
7. Know your Limits
Know your limit to how many rides you want to get on. If you’re not feeling well, or uncomfortable about a certain ride don’t get on the ride.
