Avocado and Lemon Natural Face Mask
There’s something magical about avocado. It’s delicious, smooth in texture, and is super rich in fatty acids, antioxidants like beta-carotene, and vitamin C and E, perfect for facial masks.
For this first natural face mask, simply take a whole avocado that is at least ripe (even overripe ones work), one egg white, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Blend it all together and apply a tablespoon or more to your face and let it dry for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry. Freeze the extra mix in an ice tray and then thaw a cube or so for round two!
Ripe Banana, Orange, and Yogurt Natural Face Mask
If there’s one thing that bananas are known for it is potassium, but there’s definitely more to it that gives it the name, “Nature’s Botox.” Other than moisture-retaining potassium, bananas also have vitamin C that produces collagen, lectin that keeps away bad bacteria, and amino acids that strengthen skin.
Take a small, ripe banana, a teaspoon of orange juice, and a teaspoon of Greek yogurt. Blend the mix together until smooth and apply to a freshly cleaned face. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes and rinse off.
Oatmeal, Honey, and Olive Oil Natural Face Mask
Every once in a while, your face might start feeling pretty grimy after all the air pollutants, dead skin, sweat, and oils start settling. Fortunately there’s this very simple facemask that will exfoliate and moisturize your skin for a new you.
For this natural face mask prepare one thick serving of oatmeal by adding less liquid than intended. Once that cools, add a teaspoon of honey and one of olive oil. Gently rub the oatmeal scrub around your face and avoid the sensitive area around the eyes. Rinse off and pat dry for a lusciously soft skin.
Light Lemon and Yogurt Natural Face Mask
Lemons are definitely one of the fruits that are taken for granted especially when it comes to skin care. The astringent properties of lemons tighten your skin by closing your pores, breaking down facial oils, and acting as a natural toner.
Simple combine a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and two tablespoons of yogurt to make a light paste to spread across your face. Let it try for at least 20 minutes and you can leave it on for up to an hour to get more tightening effects.
Yogurt and Honey Natural Face Mask
What’s cooler than yogurt packaged with honey? Probably the fact that you can mix it up as an instant mask! Yogurt is filled with nutrients that work fantastically for facemasks. For example, the zinc in yogurt reduces inflammation and helps with acne control while calcium regenerates the skin. Honey has similar properties as yogurt, but also contains antibiotics that help heal the skin.
You can literally take a prepackaged honey and yogurt pack and smear that on your face or make your own using a fourth cup of Greek yogurt, and a teaspoon of honey! Keep it on your face for 30 minutes and rinse off!
