Occupational therapy (OT) practitioners, researchers, educators, and students host a month-long celebration showcasing the value of occupational therapy. The event demonstrates the profession’s dedication to helping others from pediatrics to geriatrics to prevent or live better with illnesses, injuries, or forms of disabilities.
What is occupational therapy ?
Occupational therapy is a form of therapy in which patients are encouraged to engage job-related tasks or expressive activities, such as art or dance, usually in a social setting. Common OT involvements include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations and helping other individuals recover from injuries to regain skills they once demonstrated.
