Beauty tips: Waking up radiant
Rolling out of bed in the mornings is a hard thing to do, especially if you are not a morning person. You somehow need to fix that bed hair, cover those dark circles, and look like you are ready to take the day on. Here are some tips on waking up beautiful that can be done the night before to make your morning a bit more bearable!
· Scrub your face before sleeping
Debris or toxins build up on your face throughout the day. Do a deep clean face scrub at night, washing away makeup and any other bacteria that can clog up your pores if left unwashed.
· Braid your hair before going to bed
Braiding your hair before bed can make bed hair more manageable in the mornings. Braid your hair when it’s wet or damp and wake up to beautiful voluminous waves. You can create fuller waves by braiding looser or tighter braids for smaller curls. Also, you can sleep with your hair in a bun to avoid fizziness in the mornings!
· Use eye creams
With a clean face, put some eye cream under your eye to reduce the appearance of black circles and puffiness. Don’t want to spend a fortune on expensive eye creams? You can make your own DIY eye cream with ½ cup of organic coconut oil and 6 to 8 vitamin E capsules. Put the coconut oil in a small bowl and microwave for 15 seconds. Squeeze the vitamin E capsules into the oil and place in refrigerator until solid. This simple tropical eye cream can also be used as a eye makeup remover and make your eyes look brighter and younger in the mornings!
· Keep your head elevated
Heighten the side of the bed where your head lies or sleep on two pillows to help the flow of blood to the heart and lymph flow, which can help you feel refreshed in the morning. A lymph is a clear fluid that travels through the lymphatic system and is similar to blood plasma. Lymph contains a debris of cells such as bacteria and protein.
· Eat cleaner and healthy
Eating more fruits and vegetables can provide long-term health benefits, as well as beauty. Avoid eating carbs before sleeping, as it can make your skin look dull.
· Apply a fair amount of moisturizer
Right before you sleep, don’t forget to apply moisturizer to your face, arms, and legs to wake up with healthy, radiant skin.
· Sleep on your back
Research from the American Academy of Dermatology claims sleeping stomach down or sleeping on your side can lead to sleep lines—wrinkles are formed on cheeks or arms that don’t disappear once you wake up. Sleeping on your back can avoid those sleep lines.
Waking up doesn’t have to feel like a chore. Make your morning easier by doing some quick overnight tips that can make you feel refreshed in the mornings. You might even have extra time to catch a few more zzz’s.
