Learn to manage your time, set priorities and keep focused. Make to-do lists to help you stay on track between work and caregiving. Tackle the most important items first.
Caregiving While Working: #3 Talk to Your Manager
Be honest about your caregiving responsibilities with your boss. Prepare possible solutions that won’t cost the company money or time. Ask about flextime and telecommuting to keep up with work but also be prepared to compromise. Most managers are understanding and will do the best they can to accommodate for you as a caregiver.

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible workers unpaid leave for up to 12 weeks per year without losing job security or health benefits, to care for a spouse, child or parent who has a serious health condition. Ask your HR department to see if you qualify.
